Bobcat vehicles are utility machines that are used mostly in the construction and landscaping industries. The Bobcat company manufactures several vehicles that tackle different jobs, such as loaders and tractors. One benefit of using Bobcat vehicles is the easy access to engine parts and components. You can check the different fluids needed to keep the machine running in optimum condition relatively quickly.

Step 1

Check the oil fluid level. Pull out the dipstick. It is usually located on the left side of the engine and it has a red handle. The oil level is fine if it is between the two indicator lines on the dipstick.

Step 2

Pull down the "Hood Open" lever in the front of the engine to open the engine cover. Hold the cover open and place the rod in the retaining bracket to keep it open.

Step 3

Check the coolant level. The coolant container is located in a white plastic tank next to the battery. The coolant level is fine once it is between the two marks on the tank.

Step 4

Check the hydraulic oil level. Pull out the hydraulic oil level dipstick and check the oil level. The hydraulic dipstick is located at the rear of the engine and is clearly labeled. The level is fine once it is between the two marks. Insert the dipstick back into the receptacle and check the level again if you added oil.

Replace the engine cover and close it firmly to secure it.
