Removing paint from your tires can be done using everyday household ingredients, such as baking soda, lemon juice, and vegetable oil. Using these household products will efficiently remove all paint residue from your tires. In addition, there will be no harm done to your tires. Unlike other products, these ingredients will remove your paint and leave your tires in better shape, causing no cracks later on.
Step 1
Hose down the tire with water until the tire is completely drenched. Use a heavy-duty nylon bristled scrubber to scrub the paint marks. Vigorously move the brush back and forth over the paint to loosen all of the paint particles.
Step 2
After making sure the tire is still wet, sprinkle baking soda over all of the problem areas; apply lemon juice wherever baking soda is present. The lemon activates the baking sodas scrubbing power. Again, scrub with a nylon bristled scrubber, and work the baking soda into the paint stains. Soon youll notice paint starting to chip. Reapply as much baking soda and lemon as needed. Rinse off your tires with water.
Step 3
If all of the paint stains have not been removed with baking soda and lemon juice, spray a generous coat of vegetable oil over your tires. Let the vegetable oil sit for two to four hours while it degenerates and breaks apart the paint.
Apply water to promote the grease of the oil, and scrub once again. This will remove stubborn paint stains, as well as leave a shiny-looking appearance to your tires. Vegetable oil wont damage your tires and will leave them looking like new.
