The Scrambler 400 is a four wheel drive ATV first manufactured by Polaris in the late 1990s. The little brother of the more powerful Scrambler 500, the Polaris Scrambler 400 is able to reach a speed approaching 70 mph. It was originally released for an MSRP of $4,949.
General Engine and Transmission Specs
The Polaris Scrambler 400 has a one-cylinder, two-stroke engine with a displacement of 378 cc. It has a bore and stroke of 83 mm by 70 mm and is transverse mounted. The engine has digital ignition and a wet clutch. The engine is oil injected and uses a 34mm CV Mikuni carburetor.

It has a hydraulic, all-wheel lock for a parking brake. The front suspension in the Scrambler 400 is MacPherson strut, with 8.2 inches of travel. The rear suspension uses a progressive-rate swing arm with 10.5 inches of travel.
