Bombardier All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) are sold under the Can-Am brand and are manufactured by Bombardier Recreational Products. This is the same company behind Sea-Doo watercraft and Evinrude outboard motors. One commonality in all its products is the internal combustion engine, which can prone to problems. Issues with Bombardier ATVs can include the engine flooding, overheating or not running at all. These problems can be remedied by following some simple troubleshooting steps.
Step 1
Check that the ignition switch is in the "On" position if the engine wont start. Set the transmission to "Park" or "Neutral" before starting the engine.
Step 2
Run the fuel-flooded routine if the engine turns but wont start. The routine is a special procedure for Bombardier ATV engines. Insert the key in the ignition and turn it to the "On" position. Press the throttle lever completely and hold it, then press the engines "Start" button and crank the engine for 20 seconds. Release the "Start" button and the throttle lever. Start the engine again normally and it should start this time.

Park the ATV on a level surface and check the coolant level; the tank is underneath the front left-hand fender. Remove the service compartment cover and add coolant if the coolant is lower than the "Min" mark. If youre checking the coolant and the temperature is below 68 degrees Fahrenheit, it may be slightly below the "Min" mark and be all right.
