The 2011 Ford Expedition is a full-size SUV offered by Ford. The Expedition was first introduced in 1997 to replace the Ford Bronco in response to the SUV craze of the 1990s. The versatile SUV is considered a luxury vehicle by many and became Fords largest SUV offered in 2005. It is a part of Expeditions third generation of models and is equipped with the Ford 5.4 L V8 engine.

The bolts connecting the cylinder head to the engine block have 30 foot-lbs. of torque in the first step and 90 degrees or 1/4 of torque for the second and third step each. The studs connecting the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head have 18 foot-lbs. of torque while the studs have 9 foot-lbs. of torque. The intake manifold has 1.5 foot-lbs. of torque in step one and 18 foot-lbs. of torque in step two. The spark plug connected to the cylinder head has 10 foot-lbs. of torque, and the bolts connecting the valve cover to the cylinder has 8 foot-lbs. of torque.
Engine Dimensions
The Ford 5.4L V8 engine has a bore/stroke of 3.555/4.17 inches and a compression ratio of 9.8 to 1. It has a displacement of 330 cubic inches, or 5.4 L. The engine uses a sequential fuel injection (SEFI) system and runs on flex fuel. It has a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) with three valves per cylinder for a total of 24 valves.
