The airbag assembly on your Range Rover will normally work fine for many years. It is rare that your airbag assembly will malfunction. However, when it does, you will need to have the problem fixed. Since the airbag assembly is a critical safety component, you should take this problem to a licensed mechanic who is trained to work on airbag assemblies. Once the airbag assembly is fixed, youll need to reset the Range Rovers airbag fault code.
Step 1
Open the hood and loosen the retaining nut on the cable clamp running to the negative battery terminal.
Step 2
Slide the clamp off of the negative battery terminal.
Step 3
Wait 1 minute for the Range Rovers electronic control module to cycle and reset. Then, reconnect the clamp to the negative battery terminal.
Tighten the retaining nut on the cable clamp. The airbag light should go out at this point. When it does, youll know that the fault code has been erased.
