Polaris makes a line of ATVs that, like most vehicles, require regular oil changes. Polaris suggests changing the oil every 1,000 miles or 100 hours of driving, whichever comes first. If you are due for an oil change, the service light will come on. After youve changed the oil, reset the light to start the next service interval.

Step 1

Turn the key to the "Off" position and remove it from the ignition. Activate the parking break so the ATV does not roll. Shift the ATV gear into neutral with the shift stick. This gear is often labeled with an "N".

Step 2

Press the button labeled "Mode Overide". This button is next to the "Engine Stop" switch on the left-hand handle bar. Hold down the "Mode Override" button while turning on the vehicle. Turn the key to the "On" position to start the engine, then release the "Mode Override" button.

Step 3

Select the "Service Interval" choice from the menu on the control panel. Press the "Mode Override" button until you see this option. Press the "Manual Override" button three times. This will cause the light to blink. Hold down the "Manual Override" button until the light stops blinking and turns off. This resets the service light.
