Warning stickers adhered to the sun visor of a vehicle provide the consumer with important safety information. However, after viewing the stickers repeatedly, you may feel like they are an eyesore and wish to remove them. Removing these stickers can be quite difficult. The adhesive that is used to adhere the stickers to surfaces can stick to the fabric of the visors. When trying to remove the warning stickers, the visors fabric can be damaged. Fortunately, you can remove the stickers without damaging the visors with the help of a few household items.
Step 1
Attach a hairdryer to an extension cord and plug it into an outlet within reach of your vehicle.
Step 2
Hold the hairdryer a few inches above the warning sticker. Set the hairdryer to a low or medium heat setting. Turn the hairdryer on and apply heat to the warning sticker with the hairdryer.
Step 3
Start at the corner of the warning sticker. Apply heat with the hairdryer and gently begin to pull the warning sticker off the visor. Continue applying heat and pulling the sticker slowly until you have removed the warning sticker from the visor.
Step 4
Dampen a cloth with rubbing alcohol. Rub the visor with the cloth to remove any residue left behind from the warning sticker.
Spray water-displacing spray directly on the warning stickers. If the warning stickers are still present on your sun visors, soak them with water-displacing spray. Allow the spray to sit on the stickers for several minutes. Wipe the stickers off the visor with a damp cloth.
