First introduced in 1974 with the XL 100K0, the Honda XL 100 series was a pioneer in the field of affordable, entry level enduro/off-road dirt bikes. Updated and released as the XL 100K1 in 1975, it then became the XL100 until the XL100S went into production in 1979. The series was discontinued in 1985 but is still widely available on the secondhand market.
