Ford owners are given the option to purchase an extended warranty plan, which have an ESP contract number. A Ford Extended Service Plan contract number is used by dealerships to determine your warranty information, if your vehicle needs to be repaired. If youve lost it, the Ford Warranty Department can retrieve this information; even so you should maintain a personal record of it.
Step 1
The ESP contract number is included in your contract. If you have lost the contract, contact the Ford manufacturers warranty office by phone at (877)-339-1978 or (800) 325-3861. An automated system will answer the call. (See Warning for more customer service information).
Step 2
Press the numeric keypad option for current customers. Then, select the numeric account and billing option, so you can be redirected to a live representative. You will be prompted to answer a series of security questions, such as the full name, address, and telephone number associated with the Ford vehicle and ESP account. You may also need to provide the 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number, which is located on the dashboard of your car.
Step 3
Tell the representative that you need to have a copy of your ESP contract mailed to you. The representative will ask you to confirm the appropriate address. In most cases, it will automatically be sent to the address associated with the owner of the vehicle.
Allow five to 10 business days for the copy of the Ford ESP contract to be sent to you in the mail. The ESP contract number will be listed on the detailed contract.
Tips
- Ford mails ESP contract numbers because they cannot be given out over the phone. But there is another method you can use to find your ESP number. Accessing your Ford ESP account on-line can be a less time-consuming method of retrieval. Access the Ford Owners website, and type your username and password in the log-in data fields on the right side of the homepage. Then, access your account and billing information.
- If you cannot access your ESP account on-line, click the "Enroll" action to access the Owner Registration page. Provide your personal information and the required specifications about the vehicle to setup on-line access. (See resources section for the Log-in enrollment page link.)
Warning
- Ford has several warranty divisions authorized to sell and distribute ESP contract plans. Youll need to know which warranty division you purchased your ESP contract plan from. Contact the local dealership where you purchased the Ford vehicle for more information on its ESP contract division.
