EZ-GO electric golf carts are fitted with a warning beeper that sounds whenever the vehicle rolls at more than two miles an hour without the engine running, alerting people nearby to stop the vehicle before an accident occurs. Disabling the beeper lets you tow the cart during maintenance without incurring warning sounds. A hidden switch within the cart controls the warning beeper.
Step 1
Stand beside the golf cart passenger seat.
Step 2
Locate the "Run-Tow/Maintenance" switch beneath the seat.
Step 3
Move the switch to the "Tow/Maintenance" position, the beeper turns off.
Tow the cart. The alarm wont sound when the vehicle starts rolling.
