Microfiber is a fabric used in the manufacturing of many car seats, as it is both attractive and durable. The microfiber will withstand most basic wear and tear, requiring a simple cleaning on a regular basis to keep the fabric looking clean and presentable. A few basic cleaning products will assist you in cleaning and maintaining your microfiber car seats.
Step 1
Sprinkle a light dusting of baking soda over the seats and let sit for 20 minutes. This will remove any odor and absorb any moisture that is lingering on the seats.
Step 2
Vacuum the seats to collect the baking soda, along with any dirt or residue that has accumulated on the microfiber surface.
Step 3
Mix equal parts rubbing alcohol and water in a bowl.
Step 4
Dip a cleaning cloth into the solution, wring out excess cleaning solution, and rub across the microfiber surface.
Repeat until all seats have been cleaned, and allow the microfiber to air dry.
