The 2003 XR80 was an off-road, motocross dirt bike built by Honda Motor Company. The bikes were not designed for street riding and came from the factory with standard knobby tires.
Engine
The 2003 Honda XR80 had an 80 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with two valves and a single-overhead cam. It had a bore of 47.5 mm and a stroke of 45 mm with a compression ratio of 9.7-to-1. The bike utilizes an 18 mm piston-valve carburetor to pump the fuel. The ignition is controlled by a CDI electric starter.
Chassis
The XR80s front suspension consists of a 27 mm leading-axle Showa fork with 5.5 inches of travel and a Pro-link single shock on the rear with 4.3 inches of travel. The bike is chain-driven with a five-speed gearbox. The knobby tires are 2.50-16 in the front and 3.60-14 in the rear with front and back drum brakes.
